10 unique engagement rings

Sunday 12 October 2014

With my wedding only two weeks away, it seems appropriate to share some of my favorite engagement rings saved up on my desktop (I've spent way too much time on pinterest). I've never given engagement rings any thoughts before this year, because I assumed that it would be chosen by the boyfriend. It turned out that Axel proposed without one, just to give me the chance to choose the ring of my dreams. He had no idea what he was getting into.

As you my observe from my selection, I have a sliiight preference for yellow/rose gold and thin, dainty designs ;)

4. blanca monrós gómez - white diamond a gorgeous rose-cut diamond with a circle of pavé set tiny diamonds!
5. Dior - oui  A few year ago I posted about this ring on my old blog, and finally bought its twin version on Etsy (still love it to bits!!). A cute alternative to the classic engagement ring for any francophile girlfriend.

1. Rust - Rose-cut diamond  Rose-cut diamonds are an historical cut dating back to the 1400s. I've considered this ring for a long time before I found my Hazeline, I find the cut and the light reflecting facets more romantic than the modern brillant cut.
2. Moonstone ring - I can't find the source :(   It is said if you give your lover a moonstone necklace when the moon is full you will always have passion with each other.
3. Vintage pearl ring      Love this delicate and feminine ring, although I would be too afraid to wear it everyday and scrape the pearl...

And here is the ring I chose (approved by Axel!) from Anna Sheffield.  A lovely champagne diamond on a thin rose gold band. I couldn't be happier about it!
